Written by James Gardiner Businesses need to keep one step ahead of hackers and make sure they have the necessary security to prevent attacks on their systems, according to an expert. Graham Cluley, senior technology consultant at Sophos, says that e-crime is a human rather than technical problem and says there is no "magic bullet" which will eradicate threats to networks and computers. He adds that the systems need to be defended with proper security in case an individual forgets to act sensibly and opens the window of opportunity for hackers, which could require London IT support. "As long as humans don't upgrade their brains, the criminals will carry on with these sorts of tricks," he asserts. Mr Cluley adds that although many people are aware of the threat of viruses and hackers, not enough implement the necessary security to protect against them. A recent report by Sophos stated that criminal gangs tripled their attacks on innocent websites by injecting malicious codes to infect visiting home users and businesses. ![]() |
