Only invest in the VoIP systems your business needs
VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) can help to streamline services and drive down communication costs, but some firms are still spending too much even when they’ve implemented the technology into their operations.

That’s the view of Ershad Islam, product specialist for Telappliant. He believes that all too often companies going into buying VoIP services thinking that one size will fit all and they simply do not consider how it will best be used in their business.

“If someone is trying to sell you a really highly-functional phone and the phone retails at £200 or something, to be honest, if a £60 phone fits in with that you need, there's no point in spending more for functionality that you don't need, because it is not fit for purpose for you,” he said.

Mr Islam added that getting the right VoIP solution is all about intelligent research and spending. VoIP has numerous benefits but they are not suitable to all business types.
