Project to implement a Storage Area Network (SAN) to cater for the growth of the students documents, ensuring secure storage for their course work. Implementation of Citrix remote desktop solution for external access to office applications and Sims. Development of progress tracking system to monitor and report on student progress. Implementation of 4 new ICT suites, comprising of 128 PC's, smart boards and audio/visual facilities. Implementation of a Mitel VoIP telephone system for over 180 people across two sites in the UK. Migration from existing system. Benefits included integration with software applications, call logging, homeworking and free intercompany calls.

 

Project to migrate from Windows Server 2003 environment with 7 physical servers to new Windows Server 2012 virtual environment, with 2 Virtual Host Servers, new SAN and Hyper-V failover.

Development and testing of a Disaster Recovery procedure for a financial services client. Included remote access to a virtual desktop of their critical systems within 24 hours. ihotdesk host the clients warm start recovery and perform six monthly tests.


Office relocation for a Corporate Finance firm, including the design and overview of the build of the comms room. Project management of the network installation and actual physical relocation of the computer and telephone systems. Migration from Windows XP to Windows 7 for around 50 of their staff.
Migration from Windows 2003 server environment with 4 physical servers to new Windows Server 2012 virtual environment, with new SAN and 2 physical servers with Hyper-V failover.


Consolidation of 4 physical servers on to a single virtual host server running Hyper-v, upgraded Server operating systems to Windows 2008 R2.  Migration of existing Exchange environment to the cloud.

Implementation and development of SharePoint Portal server which has improved the document management for this company with over 20 UK offices and offices in India. It also acts as a communication channel for internal news and people to collaborate.


Microsoft Small Business Server 2011 setup for a small business of 20 people, migrating from a legacy system. Included the refresh of network hardware. Improve the productivity of the business through the use of latest Microsoft applications.


Bespoke software development to provide an automated email interceptor plug-in to Microsoft Outlook, to ensure all in-bound and out-bound emails relating to projects are filed automatically. Development of a Timesheet and Expense reporting system. Large scale migration of servers from Windows 2003 to windows 2008, upgrade of Microsoft Exchange from 2007 to 2010 and implementation of a HP SAN environment to cope with ever increasing data storage requirements.

Rationalisation of 18 physical network servers to just 5, through the implementation of VMware. Provided savings for maintenance, rack space and power; also lower cost of support.


Upgrade of disk storage and separation of Exchange server databases to accommodate worldwide time zones, which provides maintenance windows outside of core business hours.


Implementation of a Mitel VoIP telephone system for over 180 people across three offices in the UK. Migration from an Avaya IP office system. Benefits included integration with software applications and free intercompany calls.


Large scale server migration for an international consultancy firm, this included a restructure of companywide data prior to centralising and consolidating the server infrastructure using VMware running on DELL servers and SAN. This project also included the implementation of a UK MPLS network and online backup facility utilising Asigra software to a warm standby site for Business Continuity. The project has reduced data duplication, enabled staff to locate files quickly from any location and has reduced ongoing support and management requirements.


Implementation of Office 365 and migration of files and email services to the office 365 platform for 50 users.

Migration of 500 users worldwide to cloud hosted email solution, with support for Blackberry devices, iPhones & iPads. Supplemented with MS SharePoint and MS Lync.

Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel skills analysis and thereafter customised training for 150 people. ihotdesk have an on-line skills assessment tool that allows us to group appropriate skill levels together. On-site training provided for groups of 8 people. Improved productivity and motivation of staff.


Migration of existing services to hosted desktop environment for 120 users in two locations. Implemented new mobile working solution to allow remote access to office based resources, including desktop, databases, and telecoms services.


Implemented office wide Office 2013 OVSL Agreement.  Consolidated existing licenses and removed the need for continual retail license purchase.  Upgraded all users environment to Office 2013.


Server consolidation and migration to hosted desktop environment for 40 users. Migrated existing services to third party hosted desktop environment.  Implemented new mobile working solution to allow remote access to office based resources, including desktop, databases, and telecoms services.

Citrix and thin client terminals have allowed two retail clients to simplify their day to day support and improve the productivity of around 200 staff. ihotdesk migrated several line of business applications including creating a virtual desktop for their people to work from any of their boutiques/stores.

 

Design and implemetation of a cloud hosted server and desktop solution for 80 user retal business with 15 stores. Solution was based around windows 2012 R2 and Exchange 2013 and delivered via VPLS network to all locations.

Comprising of Windows Server 2012, Hyper-V, KMS, Windows 7, Office 2010, SQL, SharePoint, Remote Desktop Services (VDI), APP-V, Exchange 2010 & MS Endpoint Security. Supplemented with HP thin client terminals throughout the estate.

Implementation of hosted Infrastructure as a service solution (IAAS) for 60 users at 3 offices, deployment of 6 cloud hosted servers, VPN connectivity, Remote desktop connectivity and data migration.
