- American commentator and podcaster Joe Rogan hosted a broadcast on cryptocurrencies
- He noted that he is poorly versed in digital assets, but believes in them
- The notorious presenter Adam also took part in the conversation Curry
- He admitted that he keeps money in BTC and believes in the global integration of CBDC
Popular American podcaster Joe Rogan talked about cryptocurrencies in one of the issues. He stated that he considers this area to be promising and made several assumptions about how it will develop in the future.
Episode number 2000 Rogan’s show “The Joe Rogan Experience” came out last Saturday, January 8th. To participate in the conversation on the topic of cryptocurrencies, he invited podcast pioneer and host of the controversial program “No Agenda” Adam Curry.
Rogan noted that he is not very strong in this topic, but at the same time has high hopes for cryptocurrency, especially bitcoin. This is how he commented on the industry as a whole:
“Either this whole system will simply fall apart, or we can fix this ship (world economy – editor’s note), which will make life easier for everyone.”
Curry agreed with him … He noted that he himself stores assets in cryptocurrency, since he considers this direction to be promising and reliable:
“I’m already in this trend. It seems to me that my money is protected here. ”
Among others, Rogan and Curry touched on the metaverse and NFT. The author of the show suggested that in the future, the “whales” of the business will issue their own “coins” for which it will be possible to purchase branded products.
His interlocutor objected, emphasizing that he believes more in digital currencies of central banks:
“I think we will have cryptocurrencies and digital wallets under the direct supervision of the Fed. At the same time, the segment of retail banking services will shrink ”.
Note each of Rogan’s show episodes gathers about 22 million listeners. Spotify has repeatedly tried to block some of the episodes due to insults and incitement to conflict. The same goes for Curry. He has been criticized for promoting conspiracy theories and being intolerant.
Speaking of which, the episode of the show about cryptocurrencies was taken negatively on Reddit. Some of the commentators have called Rogan “an idiot who definitely has no place in the crypto industry.”
