Traditional selling may be moving to the Web 3 sooner than we could imagine. Big brands are already heading towards this. For example, Shopify CEO Toby Lutke hinted at integration with the MetaMask wallet.
A short video in his tweet shows the Connect Your Wallet feature, which allows you to connect a cryptocurrency extension to your store. The company has not officially confirmed the cooperation information, but users are already actively discussing this innovation.
Investors support the prospect of attracting traditional commerce and buyers to cryptocurrencies. If Shopify integrates with the MetaMask service, this process is much faster. As a reminder, MetaMask is by far the most popular Ethereum wallet. In addition to ether, it supports ERC tokens – 22 and ERC – 721, provides quick access to decentralized exchanges (DEX) and other cryptocurrency services.
